faces

Continuing the theme of faces in places....this is the last photo from Cork for the moment. Next stop.....Barcelona

MOBE again

MOBE

MOBE has been putting up these pieces around Cork for probably about a year now (it could be longer). I was really enjoying them just turning up around the city when I was living there. Unfortunately because they weren't on the surface of buildings and walls when I went back to take photos they were gone (and thats why I really have to remember my camera). Mostly it was probably me just forgetting where I saw them. Anywhere, here are a few MOBE's from around Cork.

That's it

M. Mouse

D. Duck

I'm not really sure what to make of this really...

Ladybirds

Located in the Graffiti Car Park, Cork. I think its on Dunbar Street....otherwise Rutland Street. There are a few to follow from here, taken last year. Its one of the few places in Ireland where graffiti is allowed. the walls change regularly in there.

peace brother

Why am I closed?

This basketball court is around the corner from where I used to live. It was closed and chained up for a long time...I think someone told me its open now but I haven't been around myself.

untitled

Bleedin' Birds

I took these two photos about a year ago. This piece had been there for a few months at that point and I thought it was quite nice. I was back in Cork last month though and while driving past (without my camera!) I noticed that this has been turned into a big design for a coffee place (I think). And it sucked. Now I might not have been 100% sober when I went past but I'm fairly sure they've ruined it. Oh well. Here are some preserved photos.

Cork

Starting today and for a few days at least I will be putting up some of the photos from Cork City in Ireland. Cork has started to carve out a reputation for itself as a creative hub in Ireland, through the activities in the city but also through the diverse range of activities and people who have been attracted to the area.

Here I'll be sticking to the confines of the city center. Enjoy the photos

Lunar Industries

This is not Sam Bell. But if it were we would all owe a debt of gratitude to the vast army of clones who sent HE3 back to earth.

In fact its got nothing at all to do with Moon, except that I watched it at the weekend and its in my head. I blame Clint Mansell above all else though.
